Mike is the founder (in 1982) and CEO of Brandywine Asset Management, a featured subject of three books, numerous interviews and articles, and the author of a best-selling investment book. Brandywine has invested significant amounts over the past four decades in research to develop proprietary investment strategies and manage client assets pursuant to several successful investment programs. All of Brandywine’s investment programs are characterized by their ability to provide uncorrelated diversified returns or by the protection they provide against bear markets. Mr. Dever has also been a great early identifier of investment talent, allocating capital to other investment managers that went on to great success.
In addition to Brandywine, Mr. Dever became an Internet pioneer when he founded Spree.com in 1996. Spree.com pioneered the use of viral and affiliate marketing to grow into the world’s 7th most trafficked ecommerce site by the fall of 1998.
He also co-founded InternetSeer.com, which became the world’s largest web site monitoring company and is the co-inventor on a patent related to web site monitoring. He was instrumental in selling the company to Landmark Communications (then the owner of The Weather Channel).
Mr. Dever has been a board member of the National Futures Association CPO/CTA Committee, holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and has a B.S. in Business from West Chester University.
As a high school pole vault coach, Mike coached three state medalists, an All-American and the previous (2018) Pennsylvania all-time state record holder (17’)
Mike is an Eagle Scout, coach for Special Olympics, instrument-rated private pilot and also holds a Part 107 drone pilot license
Mike’s proudest accomplishment has been raising three great boys with his wife Kim, a nurse with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

Matthew is a graduate of Penn State and co-founder of Scrimmage, a sports marketing company. Matthew is also the Guinness Book World Record holder in the American football long snap (41.5 yards)
Charley is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and on active duty with the U.S. Navy in cyber-related duties.
Rob is head of Trading and Operations. He joined Brandywine in 2010 and has 30 years of investment management experience. Prior to joining Brandywine he was a registered investment advisor and head of his own investment management firm. In the early part of his career he worked at Thomson McKinnon Securities and LPL Financial.
Mr. Proctor was also active in the venture development area with companies such as SailNet.com & Marine.com, which he founded. Most recently, from 2015 until 2020, he has served as an investor and CFO at Vermont Natural Beef, LLC.
Mr. Proctor is a member of the Harford CFA Society and the CFA Institute. He has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter and holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. Mr. Proctor holds a B.S. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Vermont. He serves on the board of Honduras Children’s Project and is the treasurer of the Lions Club of Durham, CT. Rob took a four-year hiatus from the investment world to help “grow” Vermont Natural Beef LLC – a direct to consumer provider of NY, NJ and New England’s best beef! The farm also ran a wedding business, KingstonPlace.com, that hosts barn weddings.
Rob met Mike Dever at the University of Vermont, but the rest of Rob’s family are Yalies. Both of his sons are recent software engineer grads and his wife is a professor of 20+ years at the medical school.
Prior to 2020, traveling has been a passion for Rob and his family. Most recently trips have included three weeks in the Galapagos in 2019 and a trip to Machu Picchu in 2017. Both are highly recommended!
For fun outside of academia, Rob & his family sail a Little Harbor 38 out of Mystic, CT and dive most winters from the North Shore of Grand Cayman.
Born in Manhasset, NY and raised in Zurich, Switzerland, David started his career by interning at Clariden Bank, Zurich during his Junior Year in College. There he traded foreign currencies for this private division of Credit Suisse including the summer following.
David graduated from Rutgers University in 1989 with a BS in International Economics. While studying at Rutgers, David also worked as a runner on the floor of the New York commodity exchange for Gerald Commodities time pending. In 1992 he became a member and filled futures options’ orders for hedge funds.
His transaction skills eventually led him to Dean Witter Reynolds in the World Trade Center where he traded spot precious metals for Turtle Traders and Central Banks on their 24 hour desk. There he started on the European Trading session and eventually went to the NY session to also develop new global relationships. David eventually left the World Trade Center 9 months before 9/11 to raise his family in Florida.
David now resides in the Pocono’s with his wife Candice and son Jake. They are all avid skiers, Jake aspiring to be a snowboard instructor at 15. David is also an Eagle Scout and one test away from Black Belt in Olympic TaeKwonDo.

From 2006 through 2016, Doug was CEO of RealWinWin, a venture-backed, energy-efficiency services company (sold in 2016). RealWinWin identified and captured energy efficiency rebates and incentives in support of more than 100 “national brand” retail and retail service companies.
Doug’s financial experience includes investment roles with two early-stage, east coast venture capital firms, investment sales and trading experience with a major Wall Street Bank, and managing investments for a prominent family office which included reorganizing its seven-figure commodities futures portfolio.
Doug’s operational experience includes private investment, business development and sales, with an early career in software and Venture Capital. Doug was an “intrapreneur” for two telecom/intranet service providers, growing regional and national selling organizations from the ground up.
Doug held start-up roles in retail, consulting, software, and business services. Doug has BoD level experience with more than thirty early-stage organizations and has been directly involved with the purchase and integration of seven corporate acquisitions.
Doug’s education includes an MBA from Wharton, an MSE (Computer Science) from Penn and a BA degree from Colgate.
